The following UK dates have been announced:
Sheffield Hallam Arena – April 24th
London O2 Arena – April 25th
Cardiff International Arena – April 28th
Birmingham NIA – April 29th
Liverpool Echo Arena – May 1st
Glasgow SECC – May 2nd
Tickets go on sale through the venues and Ticketmaster tomorrow - Friday December 5th.
And in the Republic of Ireland, it's
The O2 (formerly The Point) - May 5th. Tickets for this go on sale next Monday at 9am through ticketmaster.ie.
This could hardly be a more predictable, dreary and unimaginative a collection of venues, and while it's obviously designed to maximise his income, it's not very likely to encourage Dylan's art.
Any advice on what might be a good European venue to see him in on this Tour? Or are they all soulless arenas?
ReplyDeleteNone of them will be much good, unfortunately. If you look at my more recent posting, though, I do state the capacity for each hall. Judged on that basis, the least worst place is probably going to be the Saarlandhalle, in Saarbrücken [Germany], on April 5 - capacity 4,000. Some might consider this a departure from the rule, which has tended to be that the best venues (and the most beautiful people and food) are in Italy.
