WINTERLUDE WEEKEND NEWS

Unexpectedly, there's now a vacancy for one individual, or one couple, for the Winterlude Weekend of February 12 to 14 (Friday to Sunday).

Maybe if you felt constrained by the economic situation when these weekends were first offered, you might now feel more optimistic and decide you could go for it after all?

If so, please contact me asap (by sending a comment to this posting giving an e-mail address; your comment won't be published but I will e-mail you to clinch your booking).

To repeat these weekends' details:

Numbers are limited to 3-4 individual guests (or 3 couples) each time. Every guest room is en suite. Meals, with accompanying local wines, will be provided by food writer Sarah Beattie, and will be taken communally. The after-dinner discussions of Dylan’s work - on guest-chosen themes such as Dylan & Literary Culture, Dylan & the Blues, Dylan & Biblical Text, Dylan & Rock’n’roll - will take place in the large sitting-room, where relevant vinyl and CDs from my collection can be played, again with accompanying wine.

Itinerary:
FRIDAY - arrival; evening meal, followed by first Dylan Discussion
SATURDAY - breakfast; daytime free; evening meal and 2nd Dylan Discussion
SUNDAY - breakfast; departure.

Included:
Two nights’ en suite accommodation, two breakfasts and two full evening meals; quality local wines; two small-group Dylan Discussions led by Michael Gray.

Not included:
Flights (nearest cheap-flight airports from the UK are Lourdes-Tarbes or Pau [Ryanair], and Toulouse [easyJet / Jet2]); transport to & from airports; lunches.

Please note:
It is a non-smoking house, though guests are welcome to smoke in the garden; also that the household includes Mavis the dog (though she is not allowed upstairs).

Recommended:
Car-hire is recommended to utilise free time for local exploration, though transport to and from the airports can be arranged through us instead. Either way, there is often warm, sunny weather at this time of year and guests are welcome to use the garden. The house lies on the edge of a small village in deep countryside with fine views of the Pyrenees.

Prices:
£399 per person, or £599 per couple sharing a room.
