hi michael! i hope youre well :) i havent made any comments here in a while, but i check the page alost everyday! after reading your encyclopedia entries on Blind Willie Johnson and the Mississippi Sheikes, i bought a vinyl collection of both. wonderful stuff. blind willie sounds like a man possessed...haunting.
anyway i wanted to show you these videos of Lisa Hannigan singing in a pub in Dingle,County Kerry, Ireland. They are magical i think. The second is a cover of Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues which is really nice...but i think the first video is the better of the two...for sheer atmosphere. hope you like them Carl Finlay
Cigarettes have done too Dylan's voice what strip mining did to the Hibbing countryside. I can't find any beauty in the pictures on the postcard though. A great photographer could take amazing pictures from that landscape. Light and shade draped over carved up earth. Pat Ford

Wouldn't you know it. Sony is strip-mining all the current far East material.
