hi michael! i hope youre well :) i havent made any comments here in a while, but i check the page alost everyday! after reading your encyclopedia entries on Blind Willie Johnson and the Mississippi Sheikes, i bought a vinyl collection of both. wonderful stuff. blind willie sounds like a man possessed...haunting.

anyway i wanted to show you these videos of Lisa Hannigan singing in a pub in Dingle,County Kerry, Ireland. They are magical i think. The second is a cover of Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues which is really nice...but i think the first video is the better of the two...for sheer atmosphere.
    hope you like them

Cigarettes have done too Dylan's voice what strip mining did to the Hibbing countryside.
I can't find any beauty in the pictures on the postcard though.
A great photographer could take amazing pictures from that landscape.
Light and shade draped over carved up earth.

Wouldn't you know it. Sony is strip-mining all the current far East material.
