Hi Michael, not the right place to post this - but have you seen that Omnibus are bringing out a restored Robert Shelton biography? I know you were unhappy about some of your advice for bootlegs being out of date (unless I'm mistaken). It would be a valuable addition to the book should you update your own entry in it.

More here: http://www.thebookseller.com/news/138080-omnibus-to-update-dylan-biog-in-time-for-his-70th.html.rss

Best wishes,

Matt

Thanks for both these comments. Yes, I know about the Shelton book. I believe it's being supervised by Elizabeth Thomson, a co-editor of The Dylan Companion, assisted by rock journalist Patrick Humphries. I wasn't encouraged by seeing her describe this revised version of Bob Shelton's book as "the director's cut" in The Independent. An outrageous and preposterous claim. I haven't been invited to update the material on bootlegs I wrote in 1972, and wouldn't be the right person to do that now. It's not a subject I've kept up with.

I'd love to come to South Wales. I did perform at the Taliesin Arts Centre in Swansea and at St.Donat's Castle in November 2002.
