The Robert J stamp photo doesn't do him justice. The original photo is far better (even leaving aside the cigarette alteration) or am I imagining things? Perhaps it is because his head is “shaped” to hold the cigarette that is no longer there..but whatever, it just doesn't look right to me.
I agree completely. The only version less accurate would have been an in-court artist's impression.I think they should have let Robert Crumb do the drawing.
I see the stamp version has changed the position of his fingers on the fretboard too. A thoughtless presumption...
