Wow, thanks for this. On first play it sounds erven better than ALL ALONG THE WATCHTOWER. Next time you're across we must fix up to talk to Heather - she was big friends with Jimi - knew him in NY before he even had a record deal and then knocked around with him a lot when he came across to London. He crashed out at her place the night before the night he died.

Thank you, but for the benefit of others reading this, I think you should say something more about who you and Heather are. It's not my place to say it, but it can only read as tantalising if it's left as it is.

OK - I'm Nigel Hinton. Heather is my friend and her name back when she knew Jimi was Heather Taylor. She was born in London but moved to the USA with her parents when she was young. As a 16 year old she got a part in an Anthony Newley musical on Broadway. As an actress and a model, and being exceptionally beautiful, she was invited to all the parties and clubs where the music, theatre and film world congregated. She got to know practically everyone in the New York 'scene' and, when the British Invasion happened, the Beatles, the Stones etc etc(but not Bob Dylan!). She saw Jimi in a small club where he was a session guitarist. She was introduced to him and quickly became friends with him and the friendship lasted until he died. She was living in London when he came across as a new 'discovery' and they obviously got together again. It was never a romance, although he did write Foxy Lady in her honour.
